Correct Setups

This is a proper axolotl setup for several reasons:

    1.    Substrate: The fine sand used is safe for axolotls that are 7 inches or longer, as it minimizes the risk of impaction, which can occur with coarser materials or gravel.

    2.    Hiding Spaces: The inclusion of caves and natural decorations like driftwood and plants provides hiding spots, reducing stress and promoting a natural environment.

    3.    Filtration: The setup features efficient filtration to maintain water quality while creating minimal current, as axolotls prefer calm waters.

    4.    Live Plants: Aquatic plants contribute to water oxygenation and provide enrichment.
